Speakers: 

Clémence Bourillon, (attending remotely) formerly judge of the Cour de Cassation, special adviser to the First President and head of the International Relations department of that Court. 

Raphael Dana, avocat, membre du Conseil de l'Ordre des Avocats du barreau de Paris and head of international relations of the Paris Bar. M. Dana specialises in the laws relating to Intellectual Property, New Technologies and Personal Data, and is a member of the IBA’s technology Law Committee. 

Lord Justice Dingemans, judge of the Court of Appeal for England and Wales, and Senior President of Tribunals.

Schedule (programme subject to change):

1000 Raphael Dana: an assessment of challenges and issues which the use of AI presents for lawyers, identifying some of the priorities being introduced by the Ordre des avocats to assist in the development of practical tools and good practices.

1030 Lord Justice Dingemans: will address the current AI tools available to judges in England & Wales; the uses that can be made of these tools; the advantages and disadvantages of the tools in practice; the rules governing use of AI by judges; other uses of AI by court administration; the use of AI by litigants and parties; and the risks and opportunities presented by AI to courts.

1100 Clémence Bourillon: will address the issue from a judicial perspective, considering the facilities available, the benefits and disadvantages of AI and the risks involved.
