Art & Law Conference

The Franco-British Lawyers’ Society’s 2024 art law conference, Technology Meets the Art World, centres around the growing impact of technology in the sector, together with the legal effects both in the UK and France. Artificial intelligence, digital art and intellectual property rights, as well as the use of technology in authentication and provenance research, all give rise to new challenges.

Our speakers, drawn from the law and the art world, will discuss these innovations along with the continuing role of connoisseurship.

Our conference is made possible by the generous support of law-firm Irwin Mitchell, who are hosting the event, and by our speakers and contributors who give their expertise and time so valuably.
