Conference on the International Movement of Children
We have the pleasure of hosting a conference with the Franco-British Lawyers Society on the international movement of children. On 10 April, five speakers will give us insights accumulated over years of experience in this field. They will speak of the procedures and approaches of the courts taken in relation to two facets the international movements of children: international relocation and child abduction, and will focus mainly on comparing the approaches taken by French courts to those taken by the courts of England in Wales.
From the Parisian firm Chauveau Mulon & Associes, Véronique Chauveau will present on child abduction, and Morghân Peltier, on international relocation. They will both be speaking about these proceedings in the context of the French legal system. Of 4 Paper Buildings, Frankie Shama will speak on international relocation and Mani Basi, on child abduction, from the perspective of the courts of England and Wales. We will also have the privilege of hearing a German lawyer and expert in child abduction proceedings, Dr. Kerstin Niethammer-Jürgens. She is particularily experienced in cases involving abductions in central Europe.
Please join us at this event from 5pm onwards, at the Dawson Cornwell LLP offices just outside Chancery Lane underground station.
